Pillars

Hauz Khas Complex houses a water tank, a madarsa, a mosque, a tomb and pavilions built around an urbanized village with medieval history traced to the thirteenth century of Delhi Sultanate reign.

It was part of Siri, the second medieval city of India of the Delhi Sultanate of Allauddin Khilji Dynasty.

The Madarsa (built by Firoz Shah Tughlaq) was known as Madrasa-e-Firoz Shahi or the ‘College of Firoz Shah’.

The madarsa has an innovative design made of sandstone with columns of pillars.

This artwork is an illustration of the ceiling and pillars column emphasizing on the play of light & dark + texture of aged sandstone structure.
