Red Fort, also called Lal Qalʿah, Lal Kila or Lal Qila, Mughal fort is in Old Delhi, India.
Emperor Shah Jahan built it in the mid 17th century to serve as the main residence of the Mughal Emperors. The fort’s massive red sandstone walls enclose a complex of palaces and entertainment halls, projecting balconies, baths and indoor canals, and geometrical gardens, as well as a mosque.
